Hello a Day Terms of Use
Effective: November 1, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Hello a Day (안부한알, "the service"), provided by MyQuietSpot Inc., a Canadian corporation ("we", "us"). By installing the app and signing in, you agree to them. A "parent" means anyone who chose I take the medicine in the app, and a "family member" means anyone who chose I manage someone's medicine, whatever their real relationship.
2. What the service does
- Rings medicine alarms on the parent's phone and records whether each dose was taken.
- If the parent agrees, lets family they approve see doses and phone status, and get a notification when a dose is missed or the phone stops checking in.
- Lets family send short notes, add medicines for the parent, and help adjust display settings.
- Uses AI to read medicine photos and help fill in details, if the parent agrees.
- Offers a paid subscription, Plus, with more connected adults, a clinic visit report, and more.
3. Not a medical service
- Hello a Day is a reminder and family check-in tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or give medical advice.
- Always talk to a doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping, or changing a medicine, dose, or time. Medicine details in the app are entered by users; we do not check them.
- Do not use the service for emergencies. If someone is unwell or you cannot reach them and are worried, call your local emergency number (such as 119 in Korea or 911 in North America) right away.
4. Alarms and notifications can fail
Alarms and notifications depend on the phone and the network. They may not ring, or may arrive late or not at all, for example when:
- notification permission is off, Do Not Disturb or silent mode is on, or power saving or battery optimization stops the app;
- the battery runs out, the phone is switched off, or there is no connection;
- an operating system update or the phone maker's settings restrict the app;
- someone signs out or deletes the app.
We provide device setup guides and phone status alerts to help alarms ring, but we cannot guarantee that every alarm or notification is delivered. Do not rely on the service as the only way to manage medicines; please keep other ways to remember important ones.
5. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to use the service.
6. Your account
- Accounts are created with Sign in with Apple or Google. Only the account owner may use an account. Do not use someone else's account or sign up on someone else's behalf.
- Apple and Google sign-ins are separate accounts unless you connect both in Settings › Sign-in methods. When you change phones, sign in the same way you did before.
- You are responsible for your account and devices. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
7. Family connections and consent
- Consent to store medication records and to share with family must be given by the parent personally, on the parent's own phone. A family member tapping through on the parent's phone does not count as consent. You may help, but let the parent read and tap the consent screens themselves.
- The parent can stop sharing at any time, and that family member can then no longer see their information.
- Family can only add or edit medicines within what the parent allows, and can change a parent's display settings only if that parent agreed to share with them. Settings the parent changes on their own phone take priority.
- Do not view or connect to another person's information without their consent.
8. Plus subscription
- Only family members (not parents) can buy Plus. When one person subscribes, everyone in the family, including parents, gets Plus. There is no per-person charge.
- Plus is an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. Prices are shown in the store and on the app's Plus screen before you pay.
- First-time subscribers may get a 7-day free trial (eligibility is set by each store). Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your chosen plan will start and you will be charged.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and is charged to your App Store or Google Play account.
- You can cancel at any time in App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds: for App Store purchases, please request a refund from Apple. For Google Play purchases, request one from Google Play, or email us and we will help.
- If Plus ends, medicine alarms and existing family connections keep working. Family see only the last 12 months of records, and adults beyond the free limit (2) are locked on family members' screens, but safety alerts such as missed-dose notifications continue.
- Subscriptions bought on the App Store are also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), and those bought on Google Play to the Google Play Terms of Service.
9. AI photo reading
- AI photo reading is only available if the parent separately agrees, and the consent can be withdrawn in Settings at any time.
- The AI can be wrong. It may misread or miss a medicine name, dose, or time. Always compare with the photo before saving.
- The AI only copies what is written on the photo. It does not explain medicines or give advice about taking them.
- Both free and Plus have usage limits, which are shown in the app.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- view another person's information without their knowledge, or connect to them without their consent;
- use notes or other features to harass or upset anyone;
- use someone else's account or impersonate us or anyone else;
- disrupt the service, reverse engineer, copy, or modify it without permission, or abuse it through automated means;
- break the law.
11. Changes to the service
We may change features or stop parts of the service. If we need to shut the whole service down, we will post it on this page 30 days in advance and also notify you by push notification or email. The service may pause briefly for maintenance or outages.
12. Account deletion and suspension
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete account and data. See Delete Account for details.
- If nobody in a family uses the app for more than 3 years, we delete the family and its records (see section 4 of the Privacy Policy).
- If you break these terms, we may restrict or suspend your account after notice, or first and then notify you when someone else is at urgent risk of harm.
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is". We do not promise it will run without interruption or errors, or that every alarm or notification will arrive on time.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This does not limit liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for medicine details entered by users, communication and decisions between family members, or problems caused by parts we do not control, such as app stores, mobile networks, or phone makers.
14. Intellectual property
The service's name, design, text, images, and software belong to MyQuietSpot Inc. or its licensors. You keep the rights to the medicine details and notes you enter; we use them only as needed to provide the service.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We post changes on this page 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes that are unfavorable to you), and for significant changes we also notify you by push notification or email. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account. Continuing to use it after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in them reduces the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live, and if you live in Korea you may bring a dispute before the courts of Korea. If a dispute arises, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it.
