TL;DR: IEP Binder is built for parent-led organization. Your records are stored on your device by default. AI features only process the text, document content, or image content you choose to submit for drafting or summarizing.

Data Storage

IEP Binder stores binder setup choices, notes, service records, goals, school messages, evidence entries, document summaries, packet drafts, and app preferences locally on your device.

What stays on your device

  • Binder setup, section visibility, and customization choices
  • Saved notes, services, goals, messages, evidence, and meeting records
  • Imported documents, photos, extracted text, and generated summaries saved in the app
  • Draft meeting packets and PDF export history stored locally by the app or your device file system

AI Assistance

When you use AI capture, document analysis, or meeting packet generation, the app sends the content you choose to submit to MyQuietSpot's backend and an AI provider so a draft response can be generated. AI output is a draft only. You should review and edit it before saving, exporting, or sharing.

Documents, Photos, and OCR

You can import PDFs and photos or use your device camera. The app may use on-device text recognition when available. If you ask the app to analyze or summarize extracted text, document content, or image content with AI, that selected content is sent for AI processing.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

No Professional Advice

IEP Binder is for organization and meeting preparation. It does not provide legal, medical, educational, diagnostic, or school placement advice. Recorded patterns and AI drafts are record-based organization aids, not professional conclusions.

No Account Required

You do not need to create a MyQuietSpot account to use the app. Core record keeping works on your device after installation. Some features, including AI assistance, subscription verification, and optional backup or export workflows, require an internet connection.

Data Deletion

You can delete records inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes local app data from your device according to your operating system's normal app deletion behavior. If you exported PDFs or saved files outside the app, you can delete those files from the location where you saved them.
