What is Backup Power Log for?
Backup Power Log helps you keep a simple offline record of generator run tests, fuel refills, maintenance work, and readiness details before outages happen.
How do I set up my generator profile?
Open the Equipment tab, then tap Edit Generator Settings. Enter your generator name, model, fuel type, tank capacity, consumption estimate, service interval, and last service date if you know it.
How do I log a run test?
Use the Log Run quick action or tap +, choose Run, enter runtime, add any load or operating notes, then save the entry.
Can I log maintenance without a cost?
Yes. Maintenance cost is optional. Leave it blank when you only want to record the service date and notes.
How does service due status work?
The app compares your last service date with the service interval in Settings. If no last service date is set, the app shows that setup is still needed.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. The current app is local-first and does not require an account, internet connection, or cloud sync for core logging.
How do reminders work?
Open App Settings, tap Reminders, then enable test run, service due, fuel check, or storm prep reminders. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
What does Premium unlock?
Premium is a one-time unlock that removes ads and adds handoff reports, PDF/CSV maintenance binder exports, multiple generator or location records, location-specific reminders, and premium preparedness tools.
Where is my data stored?
Your generator profile and logs are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes local data unless your device operating system keeps a backup.
Can I edit or delete a log entry?
Yes. Open the Logs tab, tap a log entry, then update it or delete it. Status totals, fuel estimates, service status, and readiness guidance update from the latest saved records.
